Open Access Policies

Journal of Arabic Language Studies and Teaching provides open access to the public to support broader knowledge exchange. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of all articles.

Archiving and Backup Policy

Journal of Arabic Language Studies and Teaching maintains its published articles and associated metadata on its Open Journal Systems (OJS 3) website. As an additional safeguard, copies of article files are stored on a university-managed drive at Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya and on an external hard drive. These backup copies are intended to reduce the risk of losing published content because of website downtime, technical failures, or security incidents.

If the journal’s website becomes unavailable or is compromised, the editorial team will coordinate with the relevant university technical staff to recover available article files from these backups and restore access as circumstances permit. This arrangement provides local archiving and backup of article files; it does not constitute participation in an independent digital preservation service or guarantee uninterrupted access. The journal will review its archiving arrangements periodically to strengthen the protection and long-term accessibility of its published content.
