Peer review Process

JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies) is an online journal. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed by two reviewers/double-blind reviewers. The accepted research articles will be available online following the journal peer-reviewing process. The language used in this journal is English and Bahasa Indonesia.

JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies) adalah jurnal online. Artikel penelitian yang dikirim ke jurnal online ini akan ditinjau sejawat oleh dua reviewer/Double-blind reviewer. Artikel penelitian yang diterima akan tersedia secara online setelah proses peer-review jurnal. Bahasa yang digunakan dalam jurnal ini adalah Bahasa Inggris, dan Bahasa Indonesia

Author Fee (Page Charge)

JOIES, As an open-access journal, accepted manuscripts are available to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. To sustain the costs associated with high-quality open-access publishing, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to all accepted manuscripts.
The APC rates are as follows:
IDR 250,000 (Two hundred and Fifty thousand Indonesian rupiah) per article for authors affiliated with institutions in Indonesia.
USD 20 (Twenty United States dollars) per article for authors affiliated with institutions outside Indonesia.
The APC is payable upon acceptance of the manuscript. An invoice will be issued to the corresponding author along with detailed bank transfer instructions. Payment must be made via bank transfer, and a payment receipt will be provided upon successful processing.
Please note that accepted manuscripts will not be published until the APC has been paid in full. The APC covers costs related to DOI registration, full-text PDF production, and professional academic editing."

Biaya Penulis (Biaya Halaman)

JOIES, sebagai jurnal akses terbuka, manuskrip yang diterima tersedia untuk siapa saja, di mana saja, dan kapan saja. Untuk menopang biaya yang terkait dengan penerbitan akses terbuka berkualitas tinggi, Biaya Pemrosesan Artikel (APC) berlaku untuk semua manuskrip yang dinyatakan diterima.
Tarif APC adalah sebagai berikut:
IDR 250.000 (Dua ratus lima puluh ribu rupiah Indonesia) per artikel untuk penulis yang berafiliasi dengan institusi di Indonesia.
USD 20 (Dua puluh dolar AS) per artikel untuk penulis yang berafiliasi dengan institusi di luar Indonesia.
APC harus dibayarkan setelah manuskrip diterima. Faktur akan diterbitkan kepada penulis korespondensi beserta instruksi transfer bank yang terperinci. Pembayaran harus dilakukan melalui transfer bank, dan tanda terima pembayaran akan diberikan setelah pemrosesan berhasil.
Harap dicatat bahwa manuskrip yang diterima tidak akan diterbitkan sampai APC telah dibayar penuh. APC mencakup biaya yang terkait dengan pendaftaran DOI, produksi PDF teks lengkap, dan penyuntingan akademis profesional.

Plagiarism Checker

JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies) editorial board recognizes that plagiarism is not acceptable and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) upon identification of plagiarism/similarities in articles submitted for publication in the journal.  JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies), will use Plagiarism Detector Turnitin originality checking software as the tool in detecting similarities of texts in article manuscripts and the final version of articles ready for publication. A maximum of 20% of similarities is allowed for the submitted papers. Should we find more than 20% of the similarity index, the article will be returned to the author for correction and resubmission.

Level of Plagiarism

Minor: A short section of another article is plagiarised without any significant data or idea taken from the other paper
Action: A warning is given to the authors and a request to change the text and properly cite the original article is made.

Intermediate: A significant portion of a paper is plagiarised without proper citation to the original paper
Action: The submitted article is rejected and the authors are forbidden to submit further articles for one year

Severe: A significant portion of a paper is plagiarised that involves reproducing original results or ideas presented in another publication
Action: The paper is rejected and the authors are forbidden to submit further articles for five years.

It is understood that all authors are responsible for the content of their submitted paper as they all read and understand JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies). If a penalty is imposed for plagiarism, all authors will be subject to the same penalty.

Pemeriksa plagiarisme

Editor JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies) menyadari bahwa plagiarisme tidak dapat diterima maka JOIES menetapkan kebijakan berikut yang menyatakan tindakan khusus (sanksi) jika ditemukan plagiarisme/kesamaan dalam artikel yang diajukan untuk dipublikasikan. JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies), akan menggunakan perangkat lunak pemeriksa orisinalitas Turnitin Plagiarism Detector sebagai alat untuk mendeteksi kesamaan teks dalam naskah artikel dan versi final artikel yang siap dipublikasikan. Maksimal 20% kesamaan diperbolehkan untuk makalah yang diajukan. Jika ditemukan lebih dari 20% indeks kesamaan, artikel akan dikembalikan kepada penulis untuk diperbaiki dan dikirimkan kembali.

Tingkat Plagiarisme

Ringan: Bagian pendek dari artikel lain dijiplak tanpa data atau ide signifikan yang diambil dari artikel lain tersebut.

Tindakan: Penulis akan diberi peringatan dan diminta untuk mengubah teks dan mengutip artikel asli dengan benar.

Menengah: Sebagian besar makalah dijiplak tanpa sitasi yang tepat dari makalah asli.

Tindakan: Artikel yang dikirimkan ditolak dan penulis dilarang mengirimkan artikel lebih lanjut selama satu tahun.

Berat: Sebagian besar makalah dijiplak yang melibatkan reproduksi hasil atau ide asli yang disajikan dalam publikasi lain.

Tindakan: Makalah ditolak dan penulis dilarang mengirimkan artikel lebih lanjut selama lima tahun.

Dipahami bahwa semua penulis bertanggung jawab atas isi makalah yang dikirimkan karena mereka semua telah membaca dan memahami JOIES (Journal of Islamic Education Studies). Jika dikenakan sanksi plagiarisme, semua penulis akan dikenakan sanksi yang sama.
